Pool pump repair in Memphis — often back the next day

A loud, humming, or dead pool pump usually means the motor needs bearings or a rewind — not that you need a new pump. We’ve been fixing them since 1962, for about half the price of a replacement, and most are ready fast.

Before You Buy New

A pool store sells pumps. We repair them.

When your pump goes down, the first quote you hear is usually for a brand-new one. One customer’s pool company told him a replacement would run $1,200. He called us instead — we repaired his pump within 24 hours, for a fraction of that, and it ran better than before.

That’s not a special case. It’s the normal one. A pump that grinds, hums, or trips the breaker almost always has a fixable motor inside — and nobody here profits by telling you otherwise.

“My pool company advised me to get a new pump that would cost me $1.2K. I ended up calling AAA Electric and they advised me to get the pump repaired instead. They fixed it within 24 hours and the pump is working better than before!” — John B. · ★★★★★
What We Fix

The motor is almost always the part that fails

Pool and spa pumps, above-ground and in-ground, single phase — the motors on the back of a Hayward, Pentair, Jacuzzi, Purex, Sta-Rite, A.O. Smith, or Polaris pump are exactly the kind of work this shop was built for. Grinding or squealing usually means bearings and seals. A pump that hums but won’t spin, trips the breaker, or is stone dead usually needs a rewind.

Pool pumps are Mike’s bench. He’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it costs, and — if you need it — how to pull the pump and get it to us. Customers have done it with nothing but a walkthrough over the phone.

Busiest in spring and summer, but pumps fail in January too — we repair them year-round.

They did the math. Then they called.

They called me with a quote which was cheaper than a new pump and they had it fixed by next day. The local pool store advised me about double the price of what I paid.

I dropped my pool motor off and it was diagnosed and repaired by next day. Reasonable price as well.
